Student Programs

Clinical Rotations

Conway Medical center has long standing agreements with regional higher educational institutions to host clinical rotations in a multitude of healthcare fields that include, but are not limited to, Nursing RN and LPN, Imaging Services modalities, Lab modalities, Rehab Services modalities, Pharmacy, Multi-Skilled Tech, Medical Billing and Coding, Exercise Science, NP, PA and more.

CMC also hosts clinical rotations for students from all over the US. These agreements are formed on a case-by-case basis as students contact CMC managers to arrive at a general desire for both parties to come together. Then agreement is formed between CMC, the student and the sponsoring higher education institution.  Interested students should start by contacting the Conway Medical Center area manager. For assistance in identifying that manager, email Human Resources

Medical Staff Rotations

Conway Medical Center welcomes clinical rotations in the areas of CRNA, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Physicians and other Provider rotations annually. Email the CMC Medical Staff Office for specific information.

Coastal Carolina University Students

CMC has a partnership with Coastal Carolina University (CCU) as an Employer in Residence to assist and host CCU students in numerous areas of work readiness and internships for college credit and experience.  Interested CCU students should contact the CCU Career Office or CMC Human Resources to learn about opportunities.

Contact Hour Rotations

Students needing specific contact hours in the healthcare setting may request an unpaid contact hour rotation on an individual basis by contacting the CMC area leader in the area of desired rotation. If the manager desires to host the rotation the onboarding will be initiated by the manager to the CMC Human Resources Office. For assistance in identifying the manager email Human Resources.

High School Students

CMC encourages Horry County High School students studying in the Health Science career track to experience and explore related occupations at Conway Medical Center. These programs are designed and established directly in conjunction with the Horry County School district administration and each individual school healthcare program leader to set up a formal partnership and plan.  Interested students should enquire through their individual high school healthcare track instructor.

Project SEARCH Transition-to-Work Internships

Conway Medical Center hosts Project Search students and Transition-to-Work Internships through a partnership with Coastal Carolina University Life Program, Horry County Schools and Project SEARCH engineered to secure competitive employment for people with developmental disabilities. Interns are typically referred to the program through their schools, a family member, or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and apply in the winter and spring to enter the program. For information click here.

Foundation

The Conway Medical Center Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life of all individuals in the Conway Medical Center service area.

Family Medicine Residency Program
