Why Choose 3D Mammography?

3D mammography offers significant advantages over traditional 2D imaging:

  • Detects up to 40% more invasive cancers
  • Reduces callback rates by up to 40%
  • Creates clearer images, especially for women with dense breast tissue
  • Allows radiologists to examine breast tissue layer by layer

Who Should Get Screened?

The American Cancer Society recommends:

  • Women ages 40-44: Annual mammograms are optional
  • Women ages 45-54: Annual mammograms recommended
  • Women 55 and older: Annual or biennial mammograms, continuing as long as they’re in good health
