Serious Illness Care is a supportive service that delivers specialized medical care if you’ve been diagnosed with a serious condition or life threatening illness. Serious Illness Care can begin at any stage of your illness.

Serious Illness Care doesn’t replace curative medical treatment. Instead, it is combined with your other medical treatments to improve your well-being.  Our team will work closely with all your healthcare professionals to provide you the best care possible.

Our team provides:

• Symptom management, including pain and stress, related to a serious illness.
• Assistance with medical decision making and establishing goals of care.
• Improved communication and care coordination.

Serious Illness Care does not mean end-of-life care. Serious Illness Care can be beneficial to you from the moment you are diagnosed, and the availability of palliative care does not depend on whether or not your illness can be cured. The goal of Serious Illness Care is to make you as comfortable as possible and improve your quality of life throughout the course of treatment.

Recent studies show that patients who receive Serious Illness Care report improvement in:
