What is Women’s Health Physical Therapy?
Women’s Health physical therapy takes a therapist’s knowledge of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems to address issues unique to women. We are qualified to perform internal and external exams of the pelvic floor to address the following issues in women:
- Pelvic Dysfunction
- Pelvic pain
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Urinary incontinence (stress and urge)
How do we treat these issues in women?
- Therapeutic exercise
- Biofeedback
- Bladder training
- Myofascial release and massage
What patient’s do we see?
We see women from 16 years on for pelvic floor physical therapy. Patient’s are allowed to bring a family member or request a second person in the room anytime an internal exam of the pelvic floor is performed.
How do you get in to see a pelvic floor PT?
