At Conway Medical Center, we’re proud of our ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. In partnership with Campbell University, our ACGME-accredited program has flourished since welcoming our inaugural class in July 2020. We offer 27 approved positions (9 per year) and benefit from extraordinary support from our entire healthcare organization, teaching faculty, and sponsoring institution, Campbell University.
The clinical experience includes each resident developing their own continuity clinic patient panel, which will grow over the course of 3 years, all the core outpatient and inpatient rotations, and all the subspecialty rotations required by ACGME.
The didactics schedule is one half-day per week (5 hours) of protected time and includes an attending lecture, case presentation, book club, journal club, and board review. In addition, residents will attend monthly morbidity and mortality conferences along with the Tumor Board. Residents will also participate in morning report twice per week and patient rounds with their attending physician when on the inpatient medicine service.
What sets us apart? Our program combines comprehensive medical training with the unique advantage of serving a diverse community in coastal South Carolina—offering you both professional fulfillment and an enviable quality of life in one of America’s most beautiful regions.
Our program offers the perfect balance of rigorous training and coastal living—we’d love for you to be part of it. If you have questions about CMC’s Family Medicine Residency, please send your inquiries to mblankenship@CMC-SC.com.
