Everyone is different and our hormones are too. Hormones and glands make up the endocrine system which helps your body achieve balance. It’s important to maintain a healthy balance within this system because it interacts with and influences other parts your body.

Conway Medical Center is dedicated to restoring your hormonal balance and helping you manage your health. Whether you have a slight imbalance that is easily regulated with medication or if you have a more complex condition that needs more specialized treatment, our endocrinology specialists will do whatever it takes to help you manage your disease.

How do I get started with an endocrinology expert?
A physician’s order is required to schedule an appointment with CMC Endocrinology. If you do not have a primary care provider, you can locate one above.
When you meet with your primary care provider, you can request a referral to CMC Endocrinology. Your primary care provider can fax the physician’s order to 843-234-6896. Visit CMC Endocrinology to find new patient forms and other information about the practice.
Diabetes Management
Diabetes is the most common endocrine disease in South Carolina. It affects the body’s ability to produce and use insulin. There are three types of diabetes.
Type 1 – Your body does not make insulin.
Type 2 – Your body does not make enough insulin or doesn’t use it the right way.
Gestational – This happens to pregnant women when the hormone made by the placenta prevents the body from using insulin as it should.
Don’t let diabetes control you. CMC Endocrinology experts can help you build a plan to manage your disease. Education, lifestyle changes, medications and other devices are used to help reduce various symptoms. We also emphasize good nutrition and diet because they are crucial to controlling blood sugar.
