Conway Medical Center Named One of the Best Employers in SC by Forbes
Conway Medical Center (CMC) is ranked in the top 10 in South Carolina on Forbes’ America’s Best-in-State Employers list for 2024. CMC was #6 in the state and #1 for our region. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
America’s Best-In-State Employers 2024 have been identified in an independent survey from a vast sample of over 160,000 employees working for companies employing at least 500 people within the U.S. The ranking is open to companies from all industry sectors. Around 4.4 million employer evaluations were considered. The consideration of data from 3 years allowed a robust differentiation between organizations that consistently perform well from those that may only have had a single good year.
An employer’s final score is determined on a state-by-state basis and is built upon two types of employee evaluations, personal and public evaluations. The personal evaluations measured the employees’ willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. The public evaluations took into account recommendations from friends and family members of employees, or members of the public who work in the same industry- also known as indirect evaluations.
“It is an absolute honor to be recognized on the Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Employers 2024,” said Brian Argo, CMC president and CEO. “I’m incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished. It’s our employees’ hard work and dedication that make CMC not just the best place to work in our area, but among the best in the state. Our employees strive every day to deliver the best healthcare possible to our community. Everything we do revolves around caring for people, whether that is our patients or our employees.”
CMC is the Premier Medical and Innovation Partner of Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College’s Nursing and Health Sciences Institute.
“CMC’s strategic partnerships with CCU and HGTC further show our commitment to workforce development through healthcare education programs,” said Jeff English, CMC’s chief human resources officer. “As we help train the healthcare professionals of tomorrow, we are proud that CMC is such a great place to work. We continue to expand and add to our health system and opportunities for employment grow along with that.”
