CMC Brings Award-Winning Surgical Services to Socastee
Conway Medical Center (CMC) is proud to announce the accreditation of and expansion of surgical services available at its new outpatient ambulatory surgery center, CMC Surgical Center South. Conveniently located at CMC Health Plaza South in Myrtle Beach, residents in Socastee, Carolina Forest, and the surrounding communities now have access to CMC’s award-winning surgical services in this state-of-the-art facility furnished with the most advanced operating room technology.

CMC Surgical Center South is approximately 13,000 square feet and boasts four surgical suites. It features brand new, state-of-the-art surgical equipment including high-resolution C-arm fluoroscopy x-ray and a specialized surgical microscope for orthopedic hand surgeries and ENT surgical cases which require precision views.
This much-anticipated facility can accommodate a variety of procedures including orthopedic, gastrointestinal endoscopy, pain management, general surgery, ENT, and plastic surgery. Surgical staff includes specialty-trained surgical nurses, certified nurse anesthetists, and board-certified anesthesiologists.
Dedicated to the highest quality of care, CMC Surgical Center South is certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, which identified the center with the AAAHC symbol of excellence.
