CMC Foundation sponsoring FREE smoking cessation series again
For the fourth year in a row, the CMC Foundation is sponsoring the Freedom From Smoking series. Their sponsorship means that any participant who takes the class will not have to pay the $50 fee for the course. “We understand how life-changing it can be for a person to stop smoking and we want to ensure there are no financial barriers to keep them from benefiting from this course,” said Susan Scarce, Assistant Director of Development for the CMC Foundation.
Conway Medical Center offers the Freedom From Smoking Series in conjunction with the American Lung Association. “This program is built to give smokers the support and tools they need to finally quit smoking,” said Marcia Hearl, Director of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at CMC. “We offer each person a step-by-step plan that’s tailored to them. The sessions they’ll attend are designed to help them gain control over their behaviors and habits before their Quit Day and then we have supportive sessions to keep them on track after they quit. We really want each person to succeed in their goal and move on to happier, healthier days without the need for cigarettes.”
Space for the Freedom From Smoking series is limited to 12 people so registration is required. To learn more about the course and to reserve your spot, visit the Freedom From Smoking event page.
