The Conway Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is sponsored by Campbell University and is accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for 24 approved positions (8 per year) and accepted its inaugural residents in July 2020. The FM program has extraordinary support from the entire CMC Healthcare organization, teaching faculty and sponsoring institution Campbell University.
The clinical experience includes each resident developing their own continuity clinic patient panel which will grow over the course of 3 years, all the core outpatient and inpatient rotations, and all the subspecialty rotation required by ACGME.
The didactics schedule is one half-day per week (5 hours) of protected time and includes attending lecture, case presentation, book club, journal club, and board review. In addition, residents will attend monthly morbidity and mortality conference along with Tumor board. Residents will also participate in daily morning report and patient rounds with their attending physician when on the inpatient medicine service.
CMC/Campbell University FM residency offers a full spectrum learning environment in a culturally diverse and beautiful coastal South Carolina community, conducive to meeting all of the community’s primary care needs.
