Dr. Choksi completed his medical degree in India at Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research, graduating with the highest honors. During his medical school, Dr. Choksi did couple of his core rotation in the United States, and that is when he decided to come to the US for further training. Dr. Choksi completed his Internship & Residency in Internal Medicine, at Aventura Hospital & Medical Center, Florida. He was awarded as the ‘Intern of the Year’ during his intern year, for outstanding research work. He was later appointed as the Chief Resident during his third year of training, and was honored with the Chief Resident Award.

To further his training, Dr. Choksi completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology also at Aventura Hospital & Medical Center. He was also designated as the Chief Gastroenterology Fellow, during the third year of his Fellowship training.

Dr. Choksi has vast experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy. He offers his specialized training and expertise in various areas of gastrointestinal conditions, including celiac disease, GERD, hepatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, colon cancer screenings and colonoscopies. As an active researcher, Dr. Choksi is committed to offering his patients the most up-to-date treatment solutions.

In his time away from work, Dr. Choksi and his wife Dr. Dave who is also a Gastroenterologist enjoy spending time on the beach, traveling and trying different cuisines. He maintains an active an active and healthy lifestyle by participating in many forms of exercise including running, cycling and swimming.
