Gymonopoly
We have a new FREE program that all our members are welcome to join! It is called Gymonopoly, this is how it works!
Every mile you achieve is one dollar you earn! Each week a dice will be rolled for each player and your play piece will be moved for you. You can only buy the property (local business) you land on and must pay then. If you land on a spot already bought then your mileage is deducted. The winner will be the one with the most property once the board is full! Prizes will be given to a player once they buy a park place and the prizes are from the property you buy. Just track your mileage and submit your request to buy the property.
If you have any questions please see me or go to the back bulletin board by the racquetball court!
Mississippi River Challenge
Do you like swimming long distances? How about trying the length of the Mississippi River!
The Mississippi River Challenge was started to see how long it will take everyone, to swim, the entire 2,348 miles of the Mississippi River from Lake Itasca, Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. Don’t worry, you won’t be swimming the entire Mississippi River Challenge distance alone. To participate, everyone who swims laps just needs to record the distance they
go each time they swim. (to record your distance, there are forms by the aquatics office) After you log your distance, turn the form in to Emily and at the end of each week, she
will add up and track the distances.
So far we have gone 2,012.65 miles, which is 70,442.25 laps and 3,522,112.5 yards! That is 86% of the river completed. Will you help?
