Ann Vennell completed her undergraduate work at the College of William & Mary and Medical College of Virginia. Prior to joining the Conway Medical Center Spine Center Team, she was the Executive Director of Joint Replacement and Orthopedics for the five hospitals of the Inova Health System located just outside of Washington D.C. While there, she primarily worked with Anderson Orthopedic Institute surgeons – pioneers in joint replacement and leaders in clinical care, research and education.

As the Director of the Orthopedic Service Line, Ann brings her 30 years of experience in health care to Conway Medical Center for the opportunity to establish a regional presence for our surgeons and program. By integrating the talents of our highly skilled and fellowship trained surgeons with the expertise of the dedicated physician assistants, nurses, case managers, physical and occupational therapists, she has formed a cohesive care team that strives for the best possible outcomes. The CMC Spine Care program is a seamless and well coordinated process that starts when patients begin considering surgery and extends to the end of their rehabilitation.

Ann looks forward to meeting each new patient while teaching the pre- operative education class, and then assisting them through the spine surgery process to their new, more active life. During the patient’s hospital stay, Ann will visit to check progress and reinforce individualized treatment plans. Once patients return home, she will follow up to assure patients understand their discharge instructions and are doing well.
