Established in February, 1988, The Conway Medical Center Foundation grew out of a recognized need to support the ever expanding services offered by Conway Medical Center—And its been growing ever since!!

Over the past 18 years, the Foundation has become a vital member of the Conway Medical Center Team. By providing a stable source of financial support for the hospital’s community outreach programs, the Foundation has enabled Conway Medical Center to extend its services beyond its doors and address the critical needs of the medically under served throughout Horry County.

As a not for profit institution, Conway Medical Center relies on funding provided by the Foundation to go beyond the hospital’s traditional role as a critical care provider. The Wellness & Fitness Center and Conway Medical Center’s HEALTHREACH programs, including the mobile van and the Friendship House Free Medical Clinic were both funded through the community’s generous response to the Foundation’s fundraising efforts.

HEALTHREACH programs are having a positive impact throughout the community. Programs aimed at early detection, prevention, intervention and education all serve to raise the standard of health and lower the cost of health care for everyone. However, as our community outreach programs grow in size and scope so does their need for adequate financial support.

Over the last several years, the Foundation has seen a steady increase in employee contributions, individual and corporate gifts, private endowments and special events, but the need is still great! Making sure that our resources keep pace with that need is the mission of the Conway Medical Center Foundation!
