CPG Pediatrics @ Carolina Forest growing in more ways than one
CONWAY, SC– Conway Medical Center (CMC) and Conway Physicians Group (CPG) are pleased to welcome Dr. Eugenia Cooper-Merchant and Ashley M. Gibbs, APRN, FNP-BC at CPG Pediatrics @ Carolina Forest. They join existing physicians Dr. William Nichols and Dr. Marwan Al Aswad. The addition of Dr. Cooper-Merchant and Gibbs and the finished expansion of the pediatric office are part of an effort to meet the growing demand for pediatric primary care in the Carolina Forest area.
Eugenia Cooper-Merchant, MD is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Liberia A.M. Dogliotti School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York where she also completed her internship in pediatrics.
Ashley Gibbs, APRN, FNP-BC has an extensive background as a registered nurse and has significant experience in urgent care and family practice settings. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Southern Maine where she also earned her Master of Science in nursing with a concentration of family nurse practitioner.
An expansion of CPG Pediatrics @ Carolina Forest was recently completed. The project involved the addition of approximately 1700 square feet that includes five more patient rooms for evaluation and treatment. The practice has also extended their hours and is open on Saturdays.
