CONWAY, SC–Conway Medical Center (CMC) will hold the 16th annual “Walk to Remember” on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. Each October during National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month CMC holds a brief ceremony and a symbolic walk dedicated to all the babies who die each year though pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death.
CMC and Maternal Child Health Services Department invites families who have experienced the loss of an infant or child to participate in the “Walk to Remember.” The walk symbolically joins all the people nationwide who are working to raise awareness on perinatal grief and ensure that sensitive care is given to parents who experience the death of a baby.
The walk is held at the CMC Patient Services and Birthplace entrance from 2-4 p.m. with refreshments and fellowship to follow. Anyone interested in attending the ceremony and/or who would like to have their babies remembered should contact the CMC Birthplace at 843-347-8007.
